30 minute book covers

I love to read. When I finish a book I’ve enjoyed, I challenge myself to design a new cover in under 30 minutes.

Two books are standing upright on a light green background. The book on the left is titled "Living the Beatles Legend: The Mal Evans Story" by Kenneth Womack and features a light blue cover with four . The book on the right is titled "The Round of a Witches" with a subtitle "Life and Death in the New World," and shows a cover image of a forest with red trees and a foggy atmosphere.
Two books displayed upright on a neutral surface. The left book titled '2nd City' by Richard Vinen. The right book titled 'Unruly' by David Mitchell has an orange cover with scattered chess pieces and a quote about history and understanding.
Two books displayed side by side. The book on the left has a black cover with a chain link and a cute face drawn on the chain, with the title 'the_every dave_eggers.' The book on the right has a pink cover with capsules and the title 'TRUE PHARMACY' and 'RACHELLE ATALLA.'
Two books displayed upright. The first book titled "Starve Acre" by Andrew Michael Hurley has a dark, tangled tree branch cover design with a small animal silhouette at the top. The second book titled "The Hallmarked Man" by Robert Galbraith has a dark cover featuring a metallic, spiked animal figure, resembling a dog or wolf, with the subtitle "A Strike Novel."

Eye test movie posters

Minimalist movie posters, inspired by a optician’s eye test chart.

Three white framed posters on a wall with puzzles and trivia questions. The left poster asks about Chick-fil-A menu items with emojis, the middle about loungewear brands with superhero and snack emojis, and the right about tools with emojis of various objects and the word 'SCUM' at the bottom.
Three framed posters on a wall with word puzzles. The left poster asks "WHATS IN THE BOX?!" with icons of a gun, scale, box, saw, and cross; below is "SE7EN" with images of seven Christmas trees. The middle poster spells "I'LL HURT YOU IF YOU SAY THAT" with bees on the letters. The right poster asks "FUNNY HOW?" with a clown face and the name "GOOD ELLAS."

Vizbar Dragon-Tamer, Grand Mage of the High Court of Phlax, peered at the dice on the tabletop over his half-moon spectacles.

Grak the Barbarian grew impatient. ‘By the gods, Wizard, make your decision!’

‘Young Grak,’ implored Vizbar. ‘Have some patience, please. I allowed you all the time you needed when you had to pay your council tax at the post office. Read the scene again, dear Ellicar,’ said the wizard.

Ellicar Elf-Maiden of The Purple Glade scratched the tip of her pointed ear as she scanned the script. ‘Why do I always have to be the Mundane Master?’ she said. ‘Next time, I’m being Caroline the Marketing Assistant.’

Grak groaned.

‘Okay, okay,’ said Ellicar. She cleared her throat. ‘You have entered a small convenience store. To your left is a bored shopkeeper, flicking through today’s copy of The Mirror. To your right is a chiller cabinet.’

Vizbar Dragon-Tamer nodded and said very clearly, ‘BUY MILK’.

‘Alas,’ said Ellicar. ‘The shopkeeper is out of milk, for it is late in the afternoon, and today is Pancake Day.’

The wizard picked up the dice and rolled again. Grak smirked.

‘GO TO ASDA,’ said Vizbar with concern in his voice.

‘You cannot,’ stated Ellicar, flatly. ‘Your wife has the car because she has to take her mother to Gala Bingo.’

‘Curses,’ muttered the wizard. He slumped in his chair, defeated.

‘Another win for me!’ laughed Grak. He drained his tankard of mead. ‘Never mind, spell-weaver! Same time next Moon Fall?’
