A man with a shaved head and beard stands in a doorway, wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers, with his hands in his pockets and a black strap across his chest.

With years of industry experience in design agencies, in-house, and as a self-employed freelancer, I offer end-to-end expertise in managing creative graphic design projects, from concept to implementation. For the majority of my career I’ve been in-house, visualising brands, campaigns and strategies for internal and external stakeholders.

I am a motivated self-starter, proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365. My skills include brand creation and management, editorial design (handling substantial copy for reports and magazines), print design, digital assets for websites, email and social media, web design and CMS, filming and video editing, along with some experience in animation. I also undertake copywriting, editing, and proofreading. I can manage and order print, and I’m skilled in pitching, presenting, and training. As a personable and warm mentor, I also have experience training and line-managing other designers.

Current role (2020 - present): Senior Graphic Designer at GreenSquareAccord (GSA)

GSA is a housing association established in 2021 following a merger of GreenSquare Group and Accord Housing Association. Having previously served as Accord’s lead creative for four years, I was invited back to the company pre-merger to roll out, manage and develop the new GSA brand. My main responsibilities include:

  • Leading on GSA’s visual identity, brand guidelines, and corporate templates, ensuring consistency across all publications and channels

  • Designing and producing a wide range of marketing and communication materials, including campaigns aimed at hard-to-reach audiences

  • Contributing to communications strategies for colleagues and tenants

  • Providing expert graphic design support for projects, partnerships and stakeholder communications

  • Supporting the development, accessibility, and consistency of GSA’s website and digital content

  • Advising senior officers on brand, design and presentation to ensure information is clear, accessible, and effective

  • Managing relationships with external suppliers, ensuring best value and quality.

Previous role (2017 - 2020): Graphic Designer at AECOM

AECOM is a global civil engineering firm with headquarters in Los Angeles. As part of the UK Major Pursuits Team, I designed bids for infrastructure projects worldwide, such as airport expansions, railway extensions and city planning. Clients included Heathrow Airport, Network Rail, Highways England and Neom in Saudi Arabia.

Typical bids required technical drawings, maps, complex organisation charts and infographics. Other supporting assets included PowerPoint presentations, interactive PDFs and scheduling tools. In answer-planning workshops, I would live-sketch conversations for use later as infographics in the bid’s production stage.

In my wider remit, I consulted with colleagues on the application of the AECOM brand and the importance of graphic design in bids. I also designed and delivered training sessions on visual thinking techniques and hybrid working.
